Syllables
Description:
The syllable structure of a word is represented as sequence of small letters and dashes in dlexDB (e.g. schuh-la-den). It is created automatically using an approach of Bouma (2003). The analyses are improved by prior morphological segmentation (Daelemanns, 1988) by the TAGH morphology (Geyken and Hanneforth, 2006). This avoids for example errors in sequences of vowels (cf. *mi-kroor-ga-nis-mus vs. mi-kro-or-ga-nis-mus).
